Cognigen Poster at ASCPT
Five Cognigen scientists, including President and CEO Ted Grasela, PharmD, PhD, and Vice President, Pharmacometric Services, and CSO Jill Fiedler-Kelly, MS, attended the 111th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT) from March 17 to 20, 2010, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Fiedler-Kelly, Elizabeth Ludwig, PharmD, Cognigen’s Director of Clinical Pharmacology, and Qiang Lu, PhD, PK/PD Scientist, presented a poster, entitled Population Pharmacokinetics of Dexmedetomidine (DEX) During Long-Term Continuous Infusion in Critically Ill Patients, in collaboration with Dennis Stalker, PhD, Director of Clinical Pharmacology at Hospira, Inc. Dexmedetomidine (Precedex) is indicated for sedation of initially intubated and mechanically ventilated patients during treatment in an intensive care setting.
Luann Phillips, MA, MB, Director, PK/PD, at Cognigen also attended ASCPT. At the annual meeting, clinical pharmacologists, including physicians, pharmacists, scientists, and others, share current advances in drug discovery, development, regulation, and safe utilization in humans.
