PMI Pharma SIG Meets in Philadelphia

From March 15 to 17, 2010, the Project Management Institute’s Pharmaceutical Special Interest Group (PharmaSIG) sponsored a conference at The Westin Philadelphia called Innovative Project Management to Succeed in the Dynamic Biopharmaceutical Environment.

Cynthia Walawander, MA, PMP, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Cognigen Corporation, has been named Marketing Chair for PMI’s PharmaSIG. The PharmaSIG is a diverse network of 1884 members, 1100 (58.4%) of whom are PMP certified. The PMP credential recognizes demonstrated knowledge and skill in leading and directing project teams and in delivering project results within the constraints of schedule, budget and resources.

At the PharmaSIG meeting, Walawander presented a poster entitled A Systems Approach to Resource Allocation in an Integrated Research and Development Environment.
