POST-DOCTORAL POSITIONS IN PHARMACOMETRICS
Several positions available during 2007 thanks to AstraZeneca, F.
Hoffmann-La Roche and Pfizer.
The Pharmacometrics research group at Dept of Pharmaceutical Biosciences,
Uppsala University, Sweden, has received a number of grants for postdoctoral
positions in methodological and/or applied non-linear mixed effects
modelling. The group offers a stimulating modelling environment with around
20 active modellers. The specific research areas of the pharmacometrics
group include:
* Development of system models to describe and predict
(patho-)physiological processes and relationships between drug dosing, drug
exposure and drug effects in vivo (for example oncology, infectious
diseases, diabetes and cns)
* Methodological studies in model building efficiency, diagnostics and
model/methods evaluation
* Studies to develop and apply pharmacometric methodology for facilitation
of in silico drug development (optimal design, clinical trial comparisons,
utility concepts, dosing strategy estimation)
Uppsala is an old university city about 1 hour north of Stockholm. It is
easy to live and work in Uppsala with English as only language.
The positions are available for one year with possibility of a one year
extension according to mutual agreement. The successful candidates should
have a PhD, or be expected to receive one soon, in a relevant subject area
(e.g.
pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics or biostatistics) and prior hands-on
modelling experience is a requirement. Please apply with CV and a letter of
interest before February 15, 2007. The positions are to be filled at
different times during 2007 so please specify time windows for possible
starting dates.
