Group Qualifications and Responsibilities:
The role requires doctoral-level training (Ph.D., Pharm.D., or M.D.). An a=
nalytical and inquisitive mind for problem solving and strong written and o=
ral communication skills are essential. You will be working across the GSK=
drug discovery pipeline from pre-candidate selection through post-licensin=
g. At least 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, extensive exper=
ience in population PK/PD modeling and simulation using tools such as NONME=
M, Phoenix NLME, S-PLUS, R, Trial Simulator, WinNonlin and other commonly u=
sed PK and PK/PD software is required. You will have the opportunity to e=
xplore, learn and utilize state-of-the-art methodologies. Experience in pl=
anning, designing, interpreting and reporting of clinical PK and PK/PD stud=
ies, creating clinical pharmacology development plans, and writing the rele=
vant components of regulatory documents is essential. Ability to work well=
and form effective relationships with interdisciplinary teams is necessary=
for collaborative work in our matrix environment. Ability to effectively =
represent the Discovery Medicine Unit and global GSK R&D Clinical Pharmacol=
ogy Modeling & Simulation group on internal teams and to external groups is=
required. The position requires the ability to work independently and pri=
oritize assignments with minimal supervision.
