Subject: Compilation headaches

Dear NONMEM Users,

I'm trying to use Salford FTN77 personal edition to compile the NONMEM distribution files, but have run into the following problem:

C:\NMV\TR\WRITPR.FOR:
0166) ITEM='-'//ITEM
*** The same character operand must not appear on both sides of an assignment
1 ERRORS [<WRITPR>FTN77 Ver 4.03]

Can anyone give me an idea of how to fix this?

Kind regards
Justin

Justin Wilkins asked for help with an error message that occurs when compiling NM-TRAN with the Salford FTN77 compiler. I will communicate directly with him about this. If anyone else has encountered error messages with this or any other compiler, please communicate directly with me, or with nmconsult@c255.ucsf.edu (which is forwarded to nmconsult@globomax.com).
