Hello,

I recently had NONMEM PDxPOP re-installed onto a faster computer
because the old computer was "too slow." When I ran the examples
that come with the PDxPOP installation, I did not find any errors
and everything went well including the link to Splus. However, when
I tried to run an independent code, I noticed an error message and
initially I thought it was the new code in error. But then I tried
running the PDxPOP examples and saw the same error.

Here is the error below.

Does anyone know what this means?

Melvin

It means that PDx-Pop cannot find the Intel 7.x compiler, "ifl.exe":

ERRMSG: C:\pdxpop1.1j\main.p.exe 518 Can't run ifl

The Intel compilers do not automatically set their own environmental variables.
If you type the compiler command from a DOS window you should get something
like the following if the environment is set correctly:

C:\> ifl.exe
Intel(R) Fortran Compiler for 32-bit applications, Version 7.0
Build 20040611Z Package ID: w_fc_pc_8.0.050_pe052.1
Copyright (C) 1985-2004 Intel Corporation. All rights reserved.

ifl: Command line error: no files specified; for help type "ifl -help"

If the environment is NOT properly set, you will get something like:

C:\> ifl.exe
'ifl.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Contact me directly if you need to know how to set the environment for your compiler.
