Subject: NONMEM Installation

Is there anything special that needs to be done during NONMEM installation if it is being installed on a machine running Windows NT? I installed the software and when I tried to run NMFE5, I received the error message "The system cannot find the path specified"

Thanks in advance
Ryan Yates, Pharm.D.

You do not specify the compiler that you are using. If it is Digital Visual Fortran, I suspect that the environment for the compiler has not been set correctly. Instead of installing NONMEM from an MS-DOS window, try doing it in an F90 window. Use Start/Programs/Visusal Fortran/F90 (there may be a level called something like "compute" between Programs and Visual Fortran menus).

If this works, then you will always need to use an F90 window when you run NONMEM.

If this does not help, then please be more specific as to when this message occurs, and at what step during the run.

Dear Charles,

Continuing to what Alison mentioned, you should execute batch file called "dfvars.bat" in order to use nmfe5. I assumed that you're using Visual Fortran.
