In R a package called lattice is now available which should have the same functionality and even the same functions as Trellis Graphics. The package is still under development, but is sufficient stable to be used. Due to copyright a different name had to be used.

What is really fascinating is that if you look in the Lattice library the
commands are the same as in Trellis. Does the copyright apply only to the
package name? However, the current version of Xpose will not run in R due
to parameters in some functions. There are some syntax differences between
Splus and R.
